Age-Appropriate Training
Why high-quality training matters for our youth….
Many young athletes are told to "go harder"—but they’re rarely taught how to move well. That’s where we come in.
We start with mechanics and movement quality—then build toward age-appropriate strength, power, and agility that translates to the court, field, ice, or track.
Here’s a simple breakdown by age group:
Middle School (Estimated Ages 11–13):
Focus: Movement quality, coordination, and body awareness.
Athletes at this stage are growing fast. We emphasize safe movement patterns, bodyweight strength, and introducing equipment with proper technique—building habits that support lifelong athleticism.
High School (Estimated Ages 14–18):
Focus: Foundational strength, speed, and injury resilience.
We progress training with smart programming to build strength, power, and control. Athletes learn how to lift well, train consistently, and reduce risk of overuse injuries—especially important for single-sport athletes.
College & Post-Grad (Estimated Ages 18–22):
Focus: Peak performance, injury prevention, and return-to-play.
At this level, athletes benefit from custom programming to meet the demands of their sport. Whether preparing for preseason, recovering from an injury, or staying in shape during a gap semester, we offer both group and private coaching options.

“Proper strength and conditioning isn't just smart — it's essential for performance, injury prevention, and lifelong athletic development.” ~ Coach Karen
